Autumn 2020 timetable

Autumn season courses

The autumn season starts on Monday 21.9.2020! There is a pre-registration for all our courses, which opens on Friday 11.9. at 7 PM and closes on Saturday 19.9. at 8 pm! The autumn season is divided in three parts and new courses start every four weeks.

Before the weekly courses start, we'll organize two open level Super recap days of lindy hop on 14.9. and of west coast swing on 16.9.

The special arrangements and the limited course offering are due to the coronavirus situation and the uncertainty that it causes. Hopefully we can get back to our normal schedule with wider variety of courses in the spring season! Because we can't organize beginners' courses of lindy hop and west coast swing this autumn, we'll organize beginners' intensives during the autumn season, so stay tuned!

Subject to change.

Pre-registration for weekly courses

For the autumn season, there will be a pre-registration to all courses to ensure a good lead-follow balance. The registration opens on 11.9.2020 at 7 PM and closes on Saturday 19.9. at 8 pm. The registration form can be found here. You will receive an email when you have been accepted to the courses. Payment information will also be sent in a separate email. NB! Sometimes it takes time to send all the confirmations, so even if you haven't received a confirmation email before the first class, you're still welcome to join in!

Course information

Argentine tango Beginners

Welcome to the tango beginner course! The course starts from the basics, and no previous dancing experience is needed. The course is also perfect for those who would like a recap or to learn the opposite role. You do not need a partner to attend the course since partners will be rotated throughout the course. However, it's always possible to dance with your own partner only. Woolen socks or non-staining slippery shoes can be worn in the beginner course.
The course continues in the second and in the third period.

Argentine tango Intermediate

In the intermediate course you will review and strengthen the skills acquired in the beginner course and learn new elements of movement. We concentrate on improving balance, body control and ability to dance to music which are essential for anyone wanting to proceed on the next course level. In addition, you will learn the basics of social dancing and get acquainted with tango vals and milonga. To attend the intermediate course you should have basic skills from the beginner course or approximately 6 months of dancing tango. Also those who have danced longer are warmly welcome to review and deepen their skills. You'll need slippery footwear, either dance shoes/sneakers or dance slippers. No partner needed, partners are changed continually during the lessons, but it's also possible to dance only with your own partner.

Lindy hop Open level

This autumn we offer in lindy hop three individual packages, 4 hours each. Choose one, two or all three packages. You will dance the whole four lesson package with the same partner. We recommend registering for the course with your own partner. If you register without a partner, you will commit to dance with the partner that has been allotted to you. Those registered without a partner, will be admitted to the course in the order of registration.

The themes are

  • Theme 1: Fast feet. Groove steps, kicksteps and 20s charleston included. You have participated in a lindy hop beginners course, or you know basic lindy hop figures. Also, fusku dancers are welcome.
  • Theme 2: Style up your triples. Flavor your dance with jazz steps and juicy twists. You know basic lindy hop figures and preferably swing out as well. Boogie woogie dancers, you could give it a go.
  • Theme 3: Be all ears. We dive deep into lindy hop music and what options it offers for styling and playing around.

West coast swing Intermediate

Attention! The course has been modified so that people, who participated in the WCS beginners course that had to be cancelled halfway through the course and who took part in the WCS super recap day, can also follow the course. We're planning to organize a beginners intensive later in the autumn season, and those who take part in it are also welcome in this course. If you have doubts whether you can come to the course or which course would suit you best, please send us an email: wcs(at)

The course is for dancers who have at least taken the basics of WCS. The contents of the course varies from season to season and you should participate in it at least twice before moving on to the Advanced course. You will learn more patterns, technique and leading and following, and we'll also recap some of the technique of the Beginners course. The goal of the classes is to challenge you to learn the secrets of West coast swing and to enjoy this awesome dance!

West coast swing Advanced

The course is meant for dancers with at least two years of active WCS experience. You will be challenged with technique, lead and follow as well as demanding patterns. Our advanced classes are taught by competing WCS dancers, so high-quality classes are guaranteed.
